Recreational Flight Training Option
Option 1 – RAA Licence
This is a Pilot’s Licence that enables you to fly recreational aviation aircraft in a 25 nautical mile radius and may permit the carriage of passengers.
What do you need to do :
- You need to be at least 15
- Minimum of 20 hours training for a Pilot Certificate.
- Further 10 hours minimum training for cross-country endorsement. (Fly anywhere in Australia outside controlled airspace)
- 5 hours minimum training for General Aviation Pilots to Pilot Certificate and Glider Pilots with a minimum of 20 hours gliding, including 10 hours in command gliding (Solo).
- Fit and healthy state comparable to drivers licence only no doctors medical.
Note that – all RAA hours you fly will count towards GA flyting as well. Also, if you have an RAA pilots Certificate, you are entitled to a GA RPL
Aircraft & Cost info: Training is completed in a 2 seater Tecnam with dual instruction rates from $276/hour
